Outside the Box provides independent development support to groups and people across Scotland who want to make a difference in their communities. We work on a broad range of projects - under the four key themes below - offering support, information, training, evaluation and advice.
This project develops peer support for people with dementia and for carers, with a focus on aspects of food and keeping well.
People with poor mental health can sometimes find it hard to think about a positive future. During the Spring of 2016, over 60 people came together and shared their dreams.
People are more likely to experience mental health problems as they get older. But older people are less likely to have access to community supports or to services that help them manage their mental health or provide treatment when that is needed. Over the past few years we have been having conversations with people about how to raise awareness about older people’s mental health and wellbeing, and about what will make this better.
We’re Here Too brings together people who want to see more opportunities for all older people to be able to participate in the issues that interest them.
