SCVO The Gathering 2025
Our team ran an interactive workshop at SCVO’s The Gathering event on Wednesday 5th February which focussed on our Climate Chat work in communities across Scotland.
Climate change affects everyone, but we don’t always know what to do or how our everyday actions stack up to make a difference. Last year, with Scottish Government funding we worked alongside seldom heard groups and people and we discovered a real interest and desire to get involved from people who are not normally included in climate action work. We worked with older people in remote rural communities, people with learning disabilities, and people from New Scots and LGBTQ+ communities.
At our workshop over 40 participants from across Scotland shared with us climate actions they and their workplaces were taking and generated ideas on what they could do next using our Climate Audit resource as a starting point.
We have created a new resource from the workshop collating all the great climate work that people are undertaking. You can download it here: The Gathering Climate Chat Resource
Thank you to everyone who took part in the workshop and we hope you find the resource useful in providing ideas, inspiration and starting points for your own practice on climate action.
