Today is Purple Friday, a National event in Scotland where people can show their solidarity with LGBTI people and stand up against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and show LGBTI young people their support during LGBT History Month.

At Outside the Box we make sure that we work to a set of values which we know are important. All of these values work on the understanding that everyone is equal which is why a lot of our work focuses on making sure groups and activities are welcoming for everyone so no one is left out. An example of this is our Hints and Tips for making groups friendly for LGBT people that we created as part of our Wisdom in Practice project. We are also currently working with Rainbow Families as part of our Peer Support for Parents project.
