How can getting together with other people for a chat make health services work better? Part 2
Over the past few years Outside the Box has been working with people in the NHS and councils, national bodies, and community groups. The work was in partnership with Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
All the ideas and case examples came from listening to people. Part of this was a series of drop-in on-line sessions last winter – a place every few weeks for community groups and others to check in with other folk, find out who was facing similar problems around pressures on their services and how they were tackling it, learn how other places had reduced those problems, and help each other out.
People told us this was a good help, especially when they found someone close enough to meet for a coffee afterwards. It happened alongside the formal meetings and made some of those conversations easier.
We hope that folk will follow this idea, in your own areas.
- It can be within the community sector
- Or it can link across different sectors as part of building god local partnerships.
We can help you get started. If you want to talk over anything, contact Kate or Freya
And it will be good to hear about what you do, as part of sharing and helping more people too.
