Self-harm can be vastly misunderstood & misrepresented.

Through our Shared Strengths project, we have drawn together a resource pack which includes a range of practical leaflets, workbooks and other reading aimed at those who self-harm or feel at risk of self-harm and those supporting people who use self-harm as a way of coping. Some of these resources have been designed by people who have survived long periods of self-harm themselves and wanted to create something which they felt they would have benefitted from at the most difficult times. The resources are hugely valuable in myth-busting about self-harm and helping us all think about how we approach it, how we deal with it and how we talk about it.

The resource pack also includes a number of research papers on the subject giving a deeper understanding of self-harm from a range of perspectives.
