This new idea is an extension of the Falkirk Food Buddies project, run by Outside the Box. Life Boost Cafe consists of drop in self-help sessions at the Archibald Russell Centre for people aged around 50-65. The self-help sessions are facilitated by a development worker and will address issues faced by the participants.
Each session will involve the participants preparing and enjoying a tea/coffee and a snack, and having a chat. The group will have opportunities to invite people who can offer training, advice or new activities. We hope that through taking part people will help themselves, learn, share and grow all in a safe and welcoming environment, surrounded by people with similar experiences.
There is no cost to the participants and everyone is welcome. The 1st session is on Wednesday 19thApril and then weekly, 10-12 at the Archibald Russell Centre in Dennyloanhead.
