Today is #ReadyToVote day, as it is the first day you can register yourself to vote for the 2017 Scottish Council elections.
The Scottish 2017 Council elections are the first country-wide elections where people who are 16 and 17 years old can vote too. If you are 16 or 17, or have never voted before, you can register to vote by clicking here. You can register online and the whole process should only take five minutes.
All around Scotland today there are events taking place encouraging young people to vote. At Outside the Box we are working on our new voting resources we are making for the upcoming elections in May as we have done before with our Voting Champions and Our Vote Our Voice projects. Stay tuned for those!
Make sure you’re registered to vote by the 17th of April and make your voice heard.
