Started 2015. A pilot project to help people in care homes have more fun and get more exercise through belly dancing. Being physically active is a challenge for many people as they get older. People who live in care homes face even higher risks of falls and significant health problems and even fewer connections with their communities as a result.

  • Moving Assistance Project

Started 2015. The first stage of the Falkirk Moving Assistance project ran until March 2016. Now we are working on more ideas in a second stage. The idea for the project came from older people who said they would like to move house but didn’t know where to start. We are also working on tips for people who are coming home from hospital- you can find our draft version of these in our Resource section below- please email any feedback or suggestions to ciara@otbds.org.
